Lilies

Aung Khin Myint is one of the most important figures in Burmese contemporary poetry. This poetically more-or-less intense book is the ray which has passed the prism of the socio-politics of the poet’s nation. Unlike The National Anthem ( Naing Ngan Daw Tha Chin ) which is also one of his remarkable poetry book, this series of poems Lilies could be considered as the soft tone of the poet whilst the former one as the heavy metal of his poetry. This is a series of fifty poems numbered from 'Lily 1' to 'Lily 50'.
